The Bee Hiven

The Bee Hiven — Our Crowning Threshold

The crowning jewel of our threshold sanctuary.

At the Ashland Goddess Temple, we are creating a new threshold station: the Bee Hiven, a honeybee haven. It joins the sanctuary of stations already held here by our volunteers — the fairy ring and Apple Island, the fire guardian circle, the red tent, the moon lodge, and the ceremonial immersion pool of the mikvah.

The Bee Hiven is a throning space. A place to hold a true rite of passage for a woman crossing into menopause — her moon on pause. You come here with your favorite people to be fully honored and acknowledged for this massive change in your life. The work offered in this structure will come from priestesses deeply attuned to traveling between the worlds, guided by the bee — a creature that, like the horse or the jaguar, moves between worlds.

Inside, an observational hive and a draw hive that pulls out from the outside. Lie on a bench and receive the vibration of the colony.

Where we are: the foundation, the framing, and the roofing are complete.

What we complete this summer: walls of light clay straw covered in sculpted plaster in beautiful designs, and hexagon windows to let the light in.

We are invoking $19,000 to complete this project and bring it to the original core vision — magic, mystery, and magnificence.

Every gift is held by volunteers and returned to the sanctuary.
